Unlock the potential

Carefully selected, trees can become an asset within a development site. They can provide focus and maturity to a new setting. With planning and preparation, tree retention need not be costly.

A survey of the trees on potential development sites is often required by the local planning authority. The survey (to BS 5837:2005) identifies trees to be retained and any work needed on them. It will identify how a development can be planned around recommended tree retention.

Where trees are ill-suited or not worth retaining, the case for removal can be sensitively presented to ensure minimal controversy. From a single unit development to large scale construction, trees can become costly problems, delaying the process to approval. We will investigate solutions where they exist to ease the path to approval.

Submitting an accurate and professional report can speed up the process of planning approval. Design and layout can be arranged to optimise the development. Considered input at the earliest stage can ensure the support of planning officers. In the event of a planning appeal involving trees, the arboricultural and landscape design case will be presented professionally and favourably.
