Helping community groups & effectively influence local projects
Some planning applications and regeneration projects involving trees can cause concern for the local community. Residents can feel helpless in seeking to influence the process. An impartial assessment of the trees will identify the merits of the case and advise on aspects for objection and representation. When required, the case can be presented at public meetings and committees, and in discussions with officials. When private companies are involved, negotiations to influence can be led.
This ensures the community is professionally represented and able to be effective in its influence.
Case Study:
Stratford Voice which represents residents in Stratford-upon-Avon was concerned that plans to regenerate a park in the town involved the loss of many trees, some being unsafe. An assessment identified that some of these trees were appropriate for retention. Recommendations for replacements were made. The residents were able to present a technically reliable case and influence the process.
